So Spring Break has flown by with immense speed. I don't even remember it happening. Oh well. The countdown to SUMMER '08 begins!
So lets see, Saturday I went to San Francisco with the fam for Auntie Dyan's b-day. I wasn't notified of such a trip until late Friday night, therefore I was up all night and went to bed at 5:30 am and got up at 8:30 am. I do not advise this. Surprisingly I was fully functional and lasted all day, with brief periodic naps during the car rides of course. So we had lunch with the fam at some fancy restaurant in Ghirardelli Square. Pretty good, I got the fish and chips, naturally.
So after lunch the "kids" [roby, boom, erica, and I] and adults split up since we took two cars. We stopped by this George Lucas Skywalker Ranch kind of thing since it was close by. Wasn't much there for the public, but nice environment with a sort of zen like feel. The building seemed cool to work in. We walked around for like 10 mins trying to find the Yoda statue. Constantly made fun of Roby for it, "sooooo.... where's this statue?" and "you know... i'm totally fine if there isn't a statue. Its cool." lol
After that we all decided to watch a movie in theaters. Roby suggested Horton Hears a Who, but apparently she was joking after everyone agreed. haha. Boom said it was an awesome movie and we all laughed at how Roby wasn't actually interested in seeing it, even though she suggested it jokingly. So we journeyed to the theater in Van Ness. Very nice theater too, parking garage that connects to a multiple story cinema. Turns out Horton was at 4:30 and it was 2:45 when we got there, so we decided on Shutter at 3:30. We waited in the lobby and such, just chilled. Roby bought a milk duds and dropped the whole box in the lobby. Milk duds everywhere! Hella funny though, cuz she went to buy more after spilling a whole box worth. We all hella thought about Superbad too, "Sir... did you do this?" and "Fuck my life."haha. Shutter was actually pretty good compared to all the other Japanese Horror remakes. I actually enjoyed it. It wasn't necessarily scary, but more creepy and disturbing to think about in some cases. I found it funny that the actor (Joshua Jackson) is in Mighty Ducks films as Charlie Conway and that I was actually watching Ducks 1 and D-2 at home recently. Kinda funny to think he was a finalist in the Batman Begins auditions as Bruce Wayne. But yeah, good film. Made actual sense and didn't leave anything unanswered. I actually got a little creeped out that night after thinking about it for awhile.
Sooooooo... after the cinematic adventure we went back to Boom & Roby's casa, where we all played a quick game Mario Party on the Wii. lol. Good laughs, Roby kept landing on the square where the character gets loaded into the pirate cannon and shot back to the beginning of the map after being only two squares away from a star. lol. Happened like 3 times, "NOOOO!!! Fuck my life..." Boom won, he got like 4 goddamn stars.
We then hit the bowling alley, Classic Bowl i guess, where we met up with the parents. We met up with all of they're friends in the city, mostly their dance friends/fam to celebrate Auntie Dyan's b-day. As we waited the parents brought us their leftover Chevy's food, we were fucking starving, and as we opened up a container of food, roby passed it to me without looking, and it slipped of the table. Yup. She spilt food again. Funny shit. Nobody got to even touch the food, the ground got to it first. Luckily I caught the container, split like half of the food, but the other half was all good. lol. This happened like RIGHT AFTER the bowling alley worker told us NO OUTSIDE FOOD. Shittttt....lol. Twas all good though, no worries, more funny if anything cause Roby just couldn't handle her food all day. She spilt milk duds, chevy's, soda, and pizza all in one day. lol. Of course I had to give her some crap for it. haha. Bowling was cool, i kinda sucked the second game, but I guess its safe to say that I'm not that bad overall. It was fun though bowling with the fam/friends (Glenn, Uncle Pe'a and fam, boom's gf and mom, and so on...). After that the V-ville fam left and journeyed back home. Got home at 11 or so that night.
Quite a day. Especially for running on 3 hour sleep. Jesus.
