What. The Fuck. Is Up.
So right now I'm listening to my favorite band in the world again, Avenged Sevenfold. That "Afterlife" song and others just fucking ripp. Lately I've actually been in a MUSE-tastic mood these past weeks, for their music continues to inspire, rock, progress, and warp everything I've ever known about music. I love them so much and cannot wait for the new HAARP live-album/dvd on April 1st. Just a few days away till an amazing ass concert, definitely one of the BEST rock bands out there today.
So Spring-Break '08 has come and gone. Tis the final weekend. Break was cool I guess, I've actually been going through some mixed emotions this week, but it's all good. On Saturday last week I went to the SF with Greg, Marshell, Taylor, Ariel, and Kevin. Good-times, the usual, bought shit as well. That night we had a good old alcohol session with the rest of the crew at Kent's house. Richard is in Canada all break, so it tis a Schubertless break. Taylor and Kevin left after Sunday and Monday, for their break was before ours, which is dumb. Don't remember which night, but we (Pat, Greg, Marsh, and I) went to RuRuLaLa karaoke for a good jam session which is always fun, I felt I sucked that time though, for I couldn't last long. I just think we haven't "practiced", meaning we haven't gone karaoking in awhile. Nothing much left to say, just major chillage with the dudes all week, on Friday I went with Kent and Greg to the mall and we watched Superbad again (which hasn't got old) with Marsh at Greg's house. I cannot not wait for next week, for its going to kick my ass so hard with tests, essays, assignments, and quizzes! Fuck yes! I hate life and its pointless activities!
"When am I ever gonna need to know how to cook tiramisu? I'm not gonna be a chef! It's the last 3 weeks of school cut me some fucking slack! ...I'm sorry for cursing."
-Superbad
I don't know what else to say. I'm done for the night. I'll add more later.

Recent Thoughts and Emotions
So. Whats going on?
I don't know what to say, to much and to little. I'd be lying if I said not much has gone down lately since the last time I updated, because quite a lot has gone down. Winter Break was fucking awesome and I'm missing it. A lot. Almost in a broken hearted way.
Whatever.
So new semester...

Music Appreciation [online course]
Not so bad. I don't know, college thing is cool and all (except solano), the freedom and all that, but I can't help but always get super bummed out whenever I deal with it. Its something you gotta do, but its just I don't want to. Call it lazy, whateva, I just don't like it. Not only that but being in class only means that everyone else is back at school, including the 4 yr. students. I miss the T-man Taylor a lot for it was me and him everyday over break waiting for everyone else to chill after work or whatever. I swear I was at his house everyday, and his fam is pretty much my fam now. Sometimes I wish I did a CSU, but it makes me wonder if I'd miss everyone that is remaining here and now (the fam, the brahs). So now I miss the only brah that lives outta town, but now for some reason I'm growing to miss a lot of other people. I find myself missing the old friendships I had in high school, so now I guess I'm trying to stay in touch with a few in order to maintain those bonds. I mean I'm emailing old friends and also meeting up some lunch and stuff; its been good so far. I guess right now I'm in a state of "you live once and don't take anything for granted" or "no regrets" kinda thing.
So continuing whats rambling in my dome right now, Killswitch Engage. I'm slowly catching on to them, and thanks to Patrick, he got me hooked to a song that blew my mind when I heard it in his car. The guitar riff throughout the verse was what hooked me at first, but now I recently looked at the lyrics and have found an even deeper appreciation for the piece. I suppose due to my current state of missing people, I can deeply relate to this song.
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE
"The End of Heartache"
Seek me,
Call me,
I'll be waiting
This distance,
This dissolution
I cling to memories while falling
Sleep brings release,
And the hope of a new day
Waking the misery of being without you
Surrender, I give in
Another moment is another eternity
(Seek me) For comfort,
(Call me) For solace
(I'll be waiting here) For the end of my broken heart
You know me, you know me all too well
My only desire - to bridge our division
In sorrow I speak your name
And my voice mirrors, mirrors my torment
(Seek me) For comfort,
(Call me) For solace
(I'll be waiting here) For the end of my broken heart
(Seek me) Completion,
(Call me) I'll be waiting
(I'll be waiting here) For the end of my broken heart
For comfort,
For solace
Great song. Diggin' the lyrics.
Oh yeah! Patrick and I have recently composed our first full length piece of music on guitar. The vibe is fucking awesome, the solos ripp, the structure is very simplistic but with a few tweaks and dashes of amazing spice. Very proud. Very inspired. The sounds bring to mind American punkish post hardcore pop shit, but also with a very J-Rockish vibe that brings to mind a cross of Taking Back Sunday, blink-182, AnCafe, Larc en Ciel. Its just what comes to mind. But more or less the sound can only be described as us. Just us having major fun and enjoying the music. The future looks bright.
A very special remembrance to Heath Ledger.
Actor. Artist. Inspiration. Hero.
I respect him a lot, and always enjoyed a film that he was a part of. With him being linked to a very special character in my fanboy heart (the Joker), I've actually been affected by his passing. It was like a article I was reading by and editor on the batman-on-film website. He explained that the Joker character is just as much near and dear to fan boy's hearts just as much as Batman. With Heath Ledger being attached to the role of the Clown Prince of Crime in this summers THE DARK KNIGHT, people learn and eventually embraced him. Fans learned to love everything about the man that was so committed to fulfilling the role of possibly the greatest villain ever created in the history of pop culture. Whenever anybody part of the production of the new Batman film spoke or gave an interview, the reoccurring theme is Heath as the Joker. Everyone cannot contain the excitement and inspiration that he brings to the character and the film. I agree with the editor totally, and for once I actually felt a little sad for a death of a major star, it has never affected me like that before, but its just like growing with the films. Christian Bale IS the Batman, just as now Heath Ledger IS the Joker. Its like having Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) passing away during the peak of the original Star Wars run. All in all rest in peace. I can't wait for The Dark Knight nor can I wait for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnasus. Both will be exciting pieces of film with an exciting performance by a special actor who dedicated his life to perfecting his craft.

So after massive amounts of updating I'm going to finish my homework now...
